I skipped the ones where I might have been
tempted to third party because there was no
specification of what third party might be
available. I would vote for mayor bloomberg
in a huckabbee/ clinton or obama/bloomberg
case...or so it seems to me now.
looking at the results it seems that again
mr paul has quite an internet following
well... anyway we will see what will be.

It's interesting to me that so far many of the people who would vote for Paul in the general election would also vote for Thompson but not any of the other Republican candidates. I'm that way myself; I think Thompson has the best domestic policy positions of the Republican candidates besides Paul.

I don't know which term best describes my political views, so I went with paleolibertarian, which mostly fits, but paleoconservative probably could fit as well, or some kind of libertarian/centrist/conservative mix of some kind. Ah well.

Regardless, if Ron Paul isn't in the running, I will be writing his name on the ballot over whoever is.

I'll vote for anyone running against clinton.

As far as Obama I don't want him in there at all, but I don't think someone like McCain or Guliani is much better :/

We are screwed this election anyway, the democrats socialists are going to win this one. Everyone has bitched nonstop about Bush and will vote in whoever is the exacto opposite of him.

Time will prove their error, hopefully the country will survive the price it will pay for their stupidity though....

Ron Paul and Romney are the only guys with any sense at all and for some reason that asshat McCain is winning primaries. WTF?

Just stock up on emergency supplies now, stock those gun closets and prepare....

I'll vote for anyone running against clinton.

My sentiments exactly. If Clinton is on the ballot, the sheer horror of her becoming President would cause me to vote for whomever would be most likely to defeat her.

Otherwise, Thomson seems okay, Romney, I guess better than a socialist Democrat, the rest no.

This seems like a hot bed of conservatism. I would be curious to see how people plot on the always interesting, but often infuriating, Political Compass. I have been making an informal study of LJ users over the last couple years and have accumulated about 95 plots, mostly by trolling posts like this in [info]conservativism[info]liberal and [info]politicsforum. Perhaps not surprisingly they are heavily weighted to the left/libertarian side. Let's see if the economic right really does exist on LiveJournal!

For the record: Economic Right +4.89, Social Libertarian -.98.
